Deciding to give jewelry as a gift is a wise choice. What woman doesn’t love jewelry? A nice piece of bling can make a woman feel like a million bucks. Luckily, with Paparazzi, the jewelry only LOOKS like it costs a million bucks!
Once you decide you want to gift someone a piece of jewelry, the stress sets in. Will she like it? Is it her style? Is it too personal?
Let me put your mind at ease, jewelry is the PERFECT gift. It’s rare to find a woman who doesn’t wear some type of jewelry. Some women (like me) wouldn’t even dream of leaving the house without a piece of jewelry on. They feel naked without it! My look isn’t complete without some earrings on, that’s just how I roll!
Here are some tips to help you decide on the perfect piece of jewelry to gift:
1. Observe the type of jewelry she constantly switches out
You might think that your friend “needs” jewelry because she always wears the same piece. Beware, 9 times out of 10 that ring or necklace is special and perhaps has sentimental value. You don’t want to buy a piece with thoughts that she will replace it because she’ll never wear it. Instead, notice the jewelry that she switches up to match her outfits. If she has a different necklace every day then it’s a sure bet she’s into necklaces and that’s a good way to go.
2. Check out the colors
Does she wear mostly silver or gold? Does she like other metals like brass? Have you ever seen her in a purple necklace or set of hot pink earrings? That would mean she likes colors. But keep in mind, she may not like ALL colors so be careful. A woman might be in love with yellow but wouldn’t be caught dead in orange. This is solved easily by just asking her which colors she likes to wear.
3. Check out her style
Now that you know what type of jewelry she likes (i.e. necklaces, bracelets, earrings) and what color(s) she’s in to, next its time to pinpoint her style. Is she classy, edgy, boho chic, dainty? A woman who tends to wear pearls may not like a rugged cuff bracelet. Then again, a woman who likes statement pieces may not be interested in a simple necklace.
4. Don’t be afraid to try something new
The great thing about jewelry is that it’s fun and is an extension of our personalities. Although it may not be a piece you wear every day, we all have those pieces that we pull out on occasion. Your edgy friend may really appreciate having a more delicate set of earrings in her collection. The woman who wouldn’t be caught dead without her simple silver bracelet may like to switch the game up and wear a bold rhinestone encrusted choker the next time she’s out on the town. That’s what’s so great about jewelry. You don’t have to stick to the mold!
5. Be confident in your choice
With a little thought, you can find the perfect gift for your friend. She may not wear it every day but when she does she’ll light up because every time she puts that piece on she’ll think of you and smile at your thoughtfulness.
