When’s the last time you took a “sick day” when you weren’t actually sick? I’m not condoning being a slacker, but taking a spontaneous day off from work can make you feel like a new woman! Here’s some reasons why you should call in sick tomorrow.
Enjoy Sleeping In
If you can, make arrangements tonight so you can sleep in tomorrow. Have your hubby get the kids off to school in the morning so you can have the day to yourself to do nothing but sleep. Oh, the joys of catching up on sleep!
Catch Up On A Hobby
Use this free time wisely. Get back to doing something that makes you happy. Painting, drawing, sewing, etc. This is a great day to break out that dusty old hobby kit and get creative! Don’t have a hobby? Take this nifty little quiz to find out what you might like!
Use your gym membership
You know how you always say you don’t have time to go to the gym? Well, now’s the time to go! If you go during non-peak hours you won’t have to wait for equipment. But it doesn’t stop there. If your gym has a pool, Jacuzzi and/or sauna make sure you enjoy those activities as well to relax your muscles after that amazing workout. Don’t have a gym? Places like Planet Fitness are super cheap. I think they start at like $10 a month! No excuses, ladies!
Eat lunch in a restaurant
Grab lunch at an expensive restaurant. You wouldn’t dare eat there for dinner and break the bank but perhaps their lunch menu might be reasonably priced.
Get your hair and nails done
This one needs no explanation. Go treat yourself girl!
The point is to either do nothing at all or all the things you don’t have time to do during your regular work day. That’s the beauty of playing hooky! Enjoy life!
